Hello friends!
Fun Fact #5: I'm the worst story teller on the planet.
Friday night I opened for Tommy Steele's Album Release Party! His new cd is called "The Long Haul", I encourage you guys to check it out, he's really good! This was my first time opening for someone so I was so nervous. I started off with my guy trilogy (: Bad Boy, Mr. Trouble and I'm Free. Bad Boy- the right guy. Mr. Trouble- ends up being the wrong guy. I'm Free- finally free from Mr. Trouble. Then I sang Crazy by Patsy Cline. It was really good when me and my guitar player, Nick, practiced it but something went wrong on stage and it was off tune and just bad. But I held it together for the last 2 songs, Best Friend (the one that you guys haven't heard yet but will very soon!) and Soldiers' Boots. I'm going to be putting up some of the songs I sang, not all of them, just the best ones (: I'm going into the studio this week to finally completely finish Best Friend! The next song I'm going to work on is called High School. It's a really cool and different song. You guys will be able to relate to it for sure. If you're in high school right now or you already graduated, you'll think back and be like yupp, that's so true!
This Wednesday my dad is judging a karaoke contest so he entered me in and I'm going to rock out on karaoke! I love karaoke. I think it's so much fun. One time my dad went to a karaoke thing at our country club and the next morning he goes, "Lex, I pass the singing torch to you." I was like, "Oh thanks dad, was it that bad?" He said yeah. It was funny. Report cards come out soon and I'm actually excited for them. I have better grades than I had freshmen and sophomore year. Go figure! Thank you all for your support!
